With fears that its long term viability might be in doubt if Government funding is withdrawn as planned in 2022/2023, thePipeLine can reveal that English Heritage is about to announce multi-million pound sponsorship deal with the US based satellite and cable TV Channel “History”. The deal will see the increased exposure of English Heritage properties on History’s output.
One of the first signs of the new relationship between the guardian of the UK’s historic properties portfolio and the global television channel is a forthcoming episode of the international hit series “Ancient Aliens” during which lead presenter Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is seen visiting the World Heritage Site in Wiltshire and suggesting to Stonehenge experts Professor Mike Parker Pearson and Mike Pitts, editor of British Archaeology, that the shape of the Neolithic stone circle was inspired by the saucer shape of alien spacecraft and that alien technologies must have been used in moving the famous “Blue Stones” the one hundred and forty miles from a quarries in the Preseli Hills in Wales to Salisbury Plain.
thePipeLine understands that, as part of the new relationship between the heritage charity and History, the channel will also oversee a new audio visual exhibition at the £27 million Stonehenge visitor center where the 1.5 million visitors the monument attracts annually will be able to look at the evidence for the involvement of Ancient Astronauts in the construction of Stonehenge and other ancient stone monuments around the world.

Answering criticism that English Heritage was dumbing down by involving itself with a channel which is often criticized for the number of programmes rooted in conspiracy theories and fake history that it broadcasts, and that there is no evidence that Aliens had anything to do with building Stonehenge, or anything else, the charity and the broadcaster issued a joint statement through spokesperson April Fiŝo,
“Mainstream archaeologists can’t tell us who built Stonehenge or why, so it is absolutely legitimate for Ancient Astronaut theorists to put their own view and History is excited to be working with the experts at English Heritage to give a fair and balanced view of the arguments.”
Ms Fiŝo added,
“The programme, and the exciting new joint exhibition at the visitor center, will also suggest that the A303 is built on a Lay Line which links Stonehenge with Roswell New Mexico, and that the proposed Stonehenge tunnel is actually the portal to a new UFO holding facility which the British Ministry of Defence has built as part of its responsibilities under the Majestic 12 programme.”
